Music is an excellent learning tool, especially for preschoolers ages 2 to 4. Of course, music and dancing are so much fun for kids, but these activities also help their minds and bodies work together to improve learning. By enhancing sensory development, strengthening literacy skills, improving coordination, and influencing mood, engaging with music can help your preschooler grow in many different ways. Whether you’re searching for music videos that will encourage your little one to dance, sing, or learn about the world around them, we’ve compiled a whole list of recommended and expert-approved videos just for you.

Popular Songs for Movement and Dance

There are some songs your preschooler will commit to memory right away and want to sing over and over again. This awesome content will benefit your child’s social, emotional, and intellectual development. Here are a few of our personal favorites.

Baby Shark – Pinkfong! Songs and Stories

This infamous song continues to live on in the minds of kids (and parents) everywhere! With a catchy tune, colorful animation, and fun hand movements to go along with it, it’s no wonder the Baby Shark song continues to be a hit among preschoolers. Plan to put this one on repeat for the foreseeable future.

Can You See the Busy Bees – Emma!

This video from Emma, the yellow Wiggle, celebrates music and dancing with several songs, including one about springtime and all the busy bees that come out to enjoy the flowers that burst forth with the season. Preschoolers will also love the additional songs in this episode, featuring creative tunes about animals, playing dress-up, and the Brazilian samba dance as they get moving and grooving with Emma.

Peanut Butter and Jelly – Super Simple Songs

This popular song invites kids to get up and dance as they sing about making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, a classic (and delicious) food staple for kids. Not only is this tune fun and exciting, but it’s also great for sequencing and comprehension. As little ones sing the words to the song, they’ll review what happens first, second, third, and so on, with hand movements and dance moves to reinforce their memory of the lyrics.

Broccoli Bunch – The Wiggles World

It’s broccoli day at the Le James Cafe! In this episode of The Wiggles World, your little one’s favorite Wiggles characters will share all the amazing benefits of broccoli, along with other foods it pairs well with. As your preschooler sings and dances along to this irresistible tune, they’ll learn all about where broccoli comes from, the different ways you can eat it, and even its health benefits.
